Here is a link to an article about the fastest growing wages: Dental Assistants! Comments by our own Lori Paschal!
In April 2010 HB602 passed the PA Legislation process and was signed by our Governor. This bill expands the scope of practice for Expanded Function Dental Assistants by allowing them to perform coronal polishing, administer fluoride and take impressions for athletic appliances. It also creates a seat on the PA State Board of Dentistry for an Expanded Function Dental Assistant and another dentist. The NEPADAS would like to thank all dental assistants who wrote letters to their Senators asking for support of this legislation. We would also like to thank the PDA, PAGD and the PDHA for their support on helping to get this bill passed and advancing dental assisting our Pennsylvania.
